The warning about wing tank overpressure shows the system has detected pressure above 3.5 psid in that tank. By stopping the transfer pump, the flow into or through the wing tank is reduced, helping to relieve pressure and prevent over-pressurization.

Increasing fuel flow would worsen the pressure and isn’t a protective action. Engine thrust reduction and landing gear extension aren’t related to this wing-tank overpressure condition, so they don’t fit the purpose of this annunciator.
